What grade of gas?

ok, i was just thinking, i have had my Camry for almost 2 years now and have only been using 89 grade fuel (b/c i have to pay for gas, insurance, repairs, etc. on own and am 18 in college ). what grade of fuel do u guys TRY to use most often and is it okay to switch grades back and forth. plus, how much of an improvement in performance, etc. should i notice, if any, by switching to like, 93 grade?

You can change octains as much as you want, it will make very little difference going from 89 to 91 or 94 unless you are running higher compression and some variable valve timing.

I run whatever isd the cheapest at the pump. Pockets can't afford anything more.

The non-VVT-i 1MZ's can actually run 87 octane. The manual recommends 91 or higher for improved performance because it's equipped w/ a knock sensor. If you use 87 and don't experience knock, then use 87 for best performance and gas mileage.

The higher the octane, the more resistant it is to pre-detonation.
