Hmmm....
For those keep saying the bushing is to prevent dust and sand.... Please check your service manual again!!!

The bushing slosh is refering to is located why inside the bore of the torque plate!! It is fited on close to the end of the "Caliper Sliding Pin".
Here is a picture... Notice only the pin that goes on lower bore of the torque plate have a bushing. This came off 97 Camry 5S-FE, and I know for fact that 01 Solara 5S-FE has the rubber bushing on the top pin...
Any comment, guess, suggestion is welcome. I sure would like to know why toyota puts a rubber bushing on the pin.
