USA Door and Trunk Locks

I recently bought a 97 Camry and discovered both of the passenger doors have been replaced likely due to a wreck. They did a good job making the repair, but I believe that they failed to change the door lock over from the original door. Can I order the correct door lock through Toyota? I'm thinking that they may have even changed the trunk lid too, because my key doesn't seem to work in it either.

I do remember that the 93 camry my wife used to own had a valet key that would only operate the driver's door and ignition, but I can't remember if it would operate the passenger door lock or not. Could it be possible that the body shop did put the correct door and truck lock on the car and that I simply have a valet key that won't operate them? If so, can I order the main key through Toyota? Any thoughts, hints, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Marty

It sounds like the body shop did a good job, then they prob, switched the locks over, you might have a valet key, normally the valet key has a triangle looking top to it while the normal key is shaped more like a square on the top. Another way to test if you have a valet key is to try it in the glovebox if it dosent work there you def. have the valet key. I have never heard of being able to order new locks that match your ignition, but toyota will make you a key from your VIN number, you just need to bring the registration in and your licence, for verification. I hope this helps
