Smokes from a red light

I noticed that my 97 Camry 4 cylinder smokes after I accelerate from a stop light. I remember one of my dad's old chevys having the oil return holes clogged up and was just curious if this is a common problem with the I4 engine. I did notice that when I added oil to it last, it seemed to drain in very slowly. Just wondering if something else other than this could be causing it. It does not smoke on start up or while driving down the road. My check engine light did come on recently. Haven't had the code read yet, so I'm not sure if it's related or not to my smoke issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a valve cover. Excess pressure on a bad gasket would cause a leak. Check it out.

Yeah it could be a somewhat common problem. Its called oil sludge..., something no one seems to know anything about. http://www.yotarepair.com/breakingnews.html
