Aftermarket wipers, etc.

I'm looking for info/opinions on aftermarket wiper blades. In my case it's for a '99 Camry.

I want to address two problems:

- Washer fluid keeps on running up the windshield for about 30 seconds after I spray it. I have to keep on activating the wipers to get rid of it.
- My Bosch MicroEdge Excel blades whistle at 70+ mph.

Is there any way to fix the first problem? The fluid collects below the wiper blade and gets pushed diagonally up the windshield on the drivers' side. Would a curved blade help here? It might prevent the fluid from collecting under the blade so that it goes away faster.

Does anyone have any opinions on the following replacement blades, or have other suggestions (preferably flat or w/spoiler, and with replaceable inserts)?

- Valeo Ultimate Blades: very expensive. (>$30), http://www.ultimatewiperblade.com/
- PIAA Super Sporza (w/spoiler): expensive (>$20) http://www.piaa.com/WiperBlades/sporza.html
- Bosch AeroTwin: can this be aquired in the US? http://www.bosch-presse.de/TBWebDB/e...xt.cfm?id=2061
- Trico Innovision: where to buy? http://www.tricoproducts.com/brochur...location_id=65
- Blade+spoiler combo from a '99 Passat, but the clip is different (9-4 vs 9-3?) and I need an adapter.

Have you tried any cheap over the counter? try just one side first. I've tried a few, I think OEM might have been the best though after all

OEM is not an option; the car was purchased used an came with crappy aftermarket blades. Other than that I've tried the Bosch Micro Edge and Micro Edge Excel blades.

I would do one side first, but that's not a nice option for the more expensive blades (as far as shipping cost & time is concerned). What I'm really interested in is people's opinions on different types/brands of aftermarket blades.

Does anybody else have this problem with the washer fluid? I really drives me nuts to have the streak of fluid keep on coming back after I wash windshield.

I realize that I could get OEM blades at the dealer. How much are they?

You'll save alot of money by just going to your local Wal Mart, Autozone, Pep Boys, or Kragen and get a pair of wipers. NO shipping needed of course, expect to pay around $20 for a good pair of wipers. For mine I use the one you already had before, Bosch Micro Edge Excel.

By the way you don't need the spoiler unless you drive on the highway alot in the pouring rain. Those blades are designed for the wipers to be able to go down when driving in that condition because the air coming at you will prevent it from going down especially with worn springs/motors.

I've gotten a pair of Tripledge Wiper blades for a few months now and they worked flawlessly, rain, snow, and ice no problems. I've only bought the refills(around $6/pr at Walmart) (silicon only) and slipped them into the OEM wiper frames, but i suggest you to get the whole blade assembly (around $7 per blade)... http://www.tripledge.com/tripledge_i...Tripledge.aspx

I haven't found any aftermarket wipers that I like. All that i've tried have left the windsheild still smudgy. doesn't bother me since it doesn't rain too much here in Belize.

AFAIK it's the same thing as the Trico that I listed. Can these be aquired in the US? Otherwise I might get them next time I'm in QC (probably sometime in the next 2 months; gotta ski sometime).
