My Try @ A Customish Grille

Taking my car to paint today so I was just trying to think of some stuff to do before I take it. For months I have been looking around Belize for gutter gaurd and it seems like it isn't available in this counrty. So this morning I saw some mesh that some workers that are remodeling my house were using. So I just cut out the size needed and sprayed it black and also resprayed my toyota emblem. I'll try to get pics of it on the car later if I put it on back before taking it to spray. I also wanna try and open up my corners and spray them black inside during the time my car is not here. Don't know if I'm gonna keep it. I'm still 50/50 on it. What do you guys think?

not bad for a 1st attepmt. I would suggest loging onto something like summitracing.com or nopionline.come and getting the mesh from them, as it is real pliable aluminum. I did that with my 92 and it is sick looking. Also, you can fit in in the lower opeings as well. Just a thought, not trying to rain on your parade

looks too much like chicken wire, see if you can find mesh that is diamond shaped instead of little squares.

loving the black emblem though

Well as I have stated there no diamond shape mesh her in Belize so I was trying to improvise and as ordering it from off the net is too much hassle. Most sites don't take international credit cards and by the time I get it it would not be worth the cost I would have to pay. I guess I'll just take it off.

If you want, you can pay me and I can mail you a roll of it. I was only able to find one place that had a good type, and it was something like $5 for a 20' roll. Don't know how much shipping would be though. I will find out if you want.

Cool

No dawg... No...
Mesh grills were cool way back when I was in high school.... They've since become rice.

Just sand the thing down and have it chromed (or try it yourself with paint). I know you can buy ES/Windom grills in chrome, do camry's ahve the same option?

Most of my friends liked the one I just did, evern the people that don't like cars. And maney of them said it looked like it was part of the car. It is still a nice touch.

Cool

I am not most of your friends... I prefer some nice taste and class. If you wouldn't do it on a Lexus, Porsche, or Bently, just becaue it's a Toyota doesn't mean that is an excuse.

Rice.
