here is some hard-earned advice on replacing the window motors:
If your window "motor" breaks, it is one of two things:
1. the motor itself
2. the regulator, (frame, 2 cables, motor mount, and window mount)
Both these units are called the assembly combined
OEM assemblies are about $250-350 new, OEM motors are about $200+ new, and OEM regulators are about $70-100 new.
Aftermarket assemblies are about $125 or so. After replacing the OEM unit in my car the new unit eventually started acting up. I had to fabricate a motor-to-regulator isolator after the original unit on the aftermarket part turned to a pile of rubber dust. I wish I didn't replace the whole unit but instead only the regulator because the motor was fine, lesson here do not discard the motor!!!
Instructions should be posted in the manual somewhere, from what I remember. remove door panel, carefully peel of the plastic door covering thing because you are gonna reuse it. disconnect window from regulator and place aside, like on the grass or something so it won't get damaged, replace and reinstall.
