i think if ur car has lots of mileage, going synthetic is not as effective as starting it out with a new car.

If you goto Synthetic, you can't go back.

But, I use Mobil 1 100% fully synthetic.

You can always go back, mix and everything.
Since its a cab, you better lease the car and just do factory oil change.

you can go back after using synthetic, believe me i know, i have gone thru hours and hours of classes and have had many tests about oils, products etc..i work at Valvoline , and, and yea like solara said, it's not as effective as if you have been buring syn. from day one, but you can still go, actaully myself i use maxlife synpower in my cam, and it's a great oil.

in your car an oil called dura-blend (valvoline product) is what you need, it has a mixture of both synthetic and conventional oils in it, so that would be a good oil for your car, since it's not fully synthetic.

Cool

Mixing oils is great. It happens anyways so don't worry about it.
High quality full synthetics own (unles your'e running a small 2-stroke engine requiring something more along the lines of caster oil in the fuel!) Everything else sucks donkey ass.

bobistheoilguy.com forums for lubricant questions.

At continuous near redline speeds, what oil is best for my 150k mile camry? It's strickly been 10w30. Although I'm using 10w30hi-mi syn. blend now I'm leaning heavily towards a fully synthetic oil like mobil 1 but more importantly I'm thinking of a higher viscosity like 10w40. Resident oil experts, what would be the reprecussions of contradicting toyota's _W-30---only recomendations?
