Interior Light not working

Just bought a 99 Camry XLE V6. Love it so far! Except interior light will not turn on - can't find suggestions in the owners manual, so I thought I'd ask here. Thanks for the help!

Check the bulb and the fuse.

The fusebox is normally located at the left kick panel (left side under the dash).

^^Those would be the first things to check. If it still does not work then try checking the voltage at light to see if it's getting power.

thanks

Those were my guesses, too. Nothing in the owners manual about the bulb, which is strange because they cover every exterior light. Nothing about how to get the cover off. Looks like there is a small flat screwdriver slot on one side that I could use to pop off the cover.

Thanks again for the advice. This is a great forum!

There are 3 positions for the switch (ON/OFF/DOOR). Try the DOOR setting and open a door. ^^Then, do these other things my friends have mentioned.^^ Then, remove your bulb and take it to an autoparts store and say "I need this." That should get you taken care of

My interior light works but 9/10 times when you open the door the light will not turn on...yes it's in the right setting.
