ok guys i just got both my new mufflers, they are real nice! so i went to the exhaust shop today to get a quote, and the issue was not how much but what else needs to be done first.
i noticed that the spare tire well takes up a huge amount of space under the bumper. it looks to me like it has to be removed.
so my question is:
has anyone installed dual exhaust on a gen 3 successfully?? or even more has anyone done it with the shogun kit, because i know a few ppl whove done it with the bw.
the only way to get a true dual exhaust is to have a V-6, or some form of "V" configuration. But if you want a dual exhaust "look" (which i can't understand), i'm sure you can get one made at your local muffler and exhaust...uh...place...

i know man. there would be 2 cats going to each header bank (1 cat per 3cyl). i think i would actually gain a lot, because i would totally replace the stock Y-pipe connecting the 2 banks. judging by how much people have gained using a low restriction ypipe, i would assume having no restriction from the combination of 2 banks would be pretty good..
the issue at hand is whether the second muffler will fit tho

If you guys are having trouble, you might wanna look into getting a muffler from either a V8 or V6 Camaro. They use a single muffler that sits horizontally that has 2 tailpipes. That way you could run a custom pipe back from the cat and to the muffler, then run the tails out the openings. Just gotta make sure it fits between the spare tire well and the bumper.
i too have the dual exhaust bumper but the kit that i bought is called "cyber". anyway, i had a dual exhaust installed on my car. i used matrix mufflers with 3r racing tips. i had the muffler shop remove the resonator, make a straight pipe from the cat to the y pipe and to the two mufflers. i had to move my neon over a little bit or it would melt. now my neon looks cockeyed. with the mufflers i bought, i actually lost high end torque but gained a whole bunch of low end. yes, i recommend putting a dual exhaust on. your car will look really tough!

cyber is a rip off of the Erebuni shogun kit, they are the same thing.
here is a website that you can check out. these are old pics of me and my brother's cars that we took in may. we have about 50 more pics of everything that we just haven't posted yet. i hope you can see the dual exhaust. more to come soon.
