i have read many posts with people who built their own CAI with the filter behind the front bumper concerned about the filter getting wet because of rain or snow since it is exposed. I may have a solution to prevent any problems incase that does happen. looking at info and products concerning CAIs i came across this..

http://www.doctorimport.com/aem_air_bypass_valve.html

could it be possible that this is a legitamate solution.. tell me what you think..

That only applies if you plan on driving your car though a lake.

Remember the filter needs to be completely immersed for the by-pass valve to work like it should. With practical driving, this shouldnt be an issue, unless your name is Brian Earl Spincer and your filter is lower than your bumper sits.

latez.
