where to get auto starter installed

i purchased a viper 160vx auto starter. and i was wondering if i should take it to any shop to get it installed. is it safe? will this automatically void my warranty? has any of you guys had problems after installation. a buddy of mine got me paranoid saying that if the people that install it mess up, than i'm screwed.

If you have a VIPER product, then you should already have it installed by now. That is VIPER is anal about their proucts being installed by MECP techs. You won't void warranty, but I would call the shop and alert them to this. Viper gets wind of this they are in real trouble.

best but sells viper stuff around me. they seem to be pretty much all around so i would feel good about having them do it since you could always take it back and complain if your having a problem.

Its safe if its installed properly.

Just make sure whoever installs it backs up their installation. That way if something goes wrong with it, you can blame them.

If you can find a local stereo shop thats a authorized Viper dealer, that would be your best bet.

the worst that can happen is your car starting on at weird times.

But if you get it done from people who know what they are doing then i would have a settle mind. How did you get a hold of a viper w/o installation? Ebay ?

go to anyone that sells and installs viper stuff regularly.

I buy my stuff on ebay and do it myself, but for the peeps that dont know how to do stuff themselves, I send them over to the local audio store.
