i know this is a newbie question but please bare with me for a sec... anyone know if the carbon fiber headlight lens look is 50 state legal and if so where can i get it.. if not what can i do to improove the look of my front headlights?
why would you want to "look" like carbon fiber? would you want to "look" like you have rims when you have hub-caps? i'm not trying to be mean...but just open up the housing and paint the reflective surface black or something, but i dont know if that's legal...

i dunno if painting the housing of the projector would work but as long as a cop can see there is light in the projector and its projecting some light is all legel.
didnt someone say dat there makin clear projectors for gen3 camrys. well whaeva, holla. peaceout
i don't have a projector headlight.. i got the regular factory bulb style headlights.. projectors are those circular spotlight- like bulbs that project the light forward.. what most people got is the regular bulb with the reflective material inside the housing. the light from the bulb is reflected off of that material and directed from the front of the car.. hehe.. what littel i know about that sh*t is all that i just said.. lol.. anyway.. just trying to point that out. so i would not be painting the projector lamp. i would be painting the reflective material. but by doing that wouldn't the light from the bulb no longer reflect off of the material since the material has been covered by paint?

Cause i liek the look for daytime running. and i wasn't planning on painting the lens.. i was thinking that if i painted the reflective surface inside the lens if the lights would still reflect.. But i am pretty sure it would work if i had gotten the projector headlights... but as i do not.. i am not sure if painting the reflective surface would impare the reflectivness of the lights... in which case i cannot have the look unless i get the projectors.
CTMotorsports will be releasing some projector headlights to fit 92-94 headlight style this summer. i believe the housing will be dark, and it will have angel eyes (rings of light around projectors like the BMW's) and will incorporate the corner light all in one piece.
right now if you painted the reflective part you would get that color of reflection onto the road. so if you painted it blue, you would see blue only. if you painted it black, well you figure it out
S*#t.. well there goes that idea... headlight mod ----- aborted

dont worry man, you can always use the 92-94's. also you can wait until the 95/6 ones are completed. after the first ones are finished, then sean is going to work on making them for all camry models.
