yea those prices dont seem too bad, you might be able to get them to take a few bucks off tho..btw how long has it been since your last tune-up of all these parts? first time?
if it hasnt been too long then some of these parts could wait to be changed and in-turn you would save some money...like that fuel filter or the timming belt.....but i dont know how long it's been since yout car has had a full tun-up, those are your choices tho!

$600.11 total parts cost. Their labor charge is where it needs to be.
Forget buying seals, those are WAAAAAY overpriced. Get on Ebay and buy the 3vz-fe gasket set and have the replace stuff as they go. Maybe give them an extra $50 to take the upper intake off so they can replace all of those gaskets, and the valve cover seals too.
Hell... if they go that far, make it an extra $150 laybor and ask them if they'll use the gasket set to change the head gaskets!

One thing I love about Belize is that labour is not that expensive at all especially if you know the mechanic well. That price here would be ridiculous.

i have had the car for 3years now...since i was in my sophomore year in high school...never had a tune up on the car or timing belt changed at all...so basically this is all first time for my car...
I was told to always use a TOYOTA timing belt, because some of the aftermarket ones are crappy, and that toyota ones are the best for toyota's.
i'm right there with you on the toyota timing belt but other stuff i was refering too can be had at dealership that might be cheaper then what you tech is going to charge. remember that techs normall charge you 150% of what they paid for in the parts.
People....OEM plug wires for a 3vz-fe WILL NOT be sold under $100 even with a hook-up. (your ass better BE the parts manager, not KNOW him)
He also has six sparkplugs... Stop using ghetto math for only buying multiples of 4 parts LoL!

I don't know, 6cyl regardless. I just changed my brother's 525i's plugs (he actually had such bad plugs a couple cylinders weren't firing). We paid $35 for all 6 plugs and anti-seize grease for the threads. I also got him Bosch Platinum +4's since it's a euro. Call me Crazy, but $60 a plug seems pretty out there (even after doing some checking around for 3vz plugs). Iridiums I could understand...
All prices are from autozone or advance auto except the plug wires which the page is linked. Got it from the page zenerman linked (but his was for 5sfe, wrong). Where multiple brands were listed for the price, i did sort of an average.
I'd suggest going to a different mechanic. If there is ever something i dont feel like doing myself, ill go to my local computer tune and lube. they do just about anything and they are fair and reasonable. Ask around town and see where your friends go and how they are treated. Thats usually the best way to find a fair place.
