Tire size. Need Advice!

I have some 18's that I just recieved. Two of the 18's have 235/40 on them. I was thinking about putting them on the back and putting 225/40 on the from. I was told that the 235/40 won't fit on the back, but will fit on the front. Is this true? Thanx in advance for any feedback.

I'm not positive of the offset, but the rims i believe are just 7.5 or 8 wide.

Well all those numbers make the difference whether or not they'll fit.

If you don't know then we can't help.

They should fit, most likely you'll need spacers for sure. Otherwise you'll go through tires like crazy.

Is it because the tires will rub on the inside of the wheel well? Anyone know where I can get some spacers?

Can you please explain to me why spacers will effect tread wear of the tire?

Wow I didn't know "go through tires like crazy" means rubbing. He could've just use 1 word instead of 5. Someone needs to go back to english class.

To get back on topic, you're not suppose to have different size tires on front & rear. You should use the tire size calculator to find the appropriate tire size.
