Can anyone tell me under what conditions my gen 3 camry need fuel injector flush?

what does it help?

all I know is to improve acceleration and save some gas, right?

Will it help to gain some lost horsepower?
since my car has already got 260,000km on it.

Last question, what does a better job?
Engine flush, or injector flush

Thx for any reply

I don't know the history of you car and what type of oil and gas you been using. Even how often you used fuel injectors. Two things, now if you car is idling that might lead to a turn up or an engine flush. Second if your car has a lack of acceleration, that might be do to cabin build up over the years. All so do its high mileage you car going to have a lose of HP. Remember power even comes from the transmission so look into that to. Now heres a bunch of crap I've seen on the market and I've only used one them.

There's something called the Tornado Fuel Saver. Some kind of device that goes into your intake just by spinning the air differently. They clam its saves on gas and increases up to 5-20 HP. I'm not willing to spend 60.00 bucks on something like that to find out what it does. But if you are http://www.tornadofuelsaver.com/

Zmax. Now this is the one I've been using for two years now when I owned my 87 Colt Vista. At first I had my doubts about it. The formula is a three-part system for the Fuel system, the engine, and the transmission. Just last week I put into my Camry and my car is running better. Its long story on how this stuff works so hers the website. http://www.zmax.com/

Note: You all so might want to look in to high mileage oil for cars over 75,000.

I've heard mixed reviews. Dealership mechanics tell me its useless to do a injector flush and they never do it on any cars. Also, my friend had it done on his older BMW and it did more harm than good.
Logically, I thought it would help my gf's car pass emissions, but from what I've been told be ALL credible people around me, I'm not gonna do it.

my 2 cents!

then what's the difference between engine flush and injector flush.

My Gen3 uses 93octane.

Which one should I do, when my car has such high mileage?

Do the engine flush. It helps. What I did on my high mileage (raced daily) Honda Civic SI is...

Change oil with the cheapest oil you can find from Walmart or where ever.

Run the car for a day or so with it.

Get some STP engine flush, and put it into your engine with the new oil.

Run the engine 1500-2000 rpm for about 15-20 minutes (to get the oil nice and hot) then flush it out right away (ie. drain the oil).

This surprisingly cleans things out pretty good.

The only thing that I have heard (that is bad) about the enging flush is that it can cause oil leaks that were not present before. This is because it will get rid of all the deposits, even around the gaskets so the engine will not seal anymore...
