Quick Question Involving Modding and Mileage - Toyota Nation Forum : Toyota Car and Truck Forums

ive come to a wall in my advance on modding the cam...a new engine and tranny, i know i have to get...but, for a car with 197000 miles on her, is it worth doing all those swaps to THAT high mileage of a car??? of course the struts and springs will be replaced...but isnt it too much of a hassle to repair the 12 year old, 197000 mile worn out parts??

any suggestions?...thanks

I just did it to a 14year old car with 150K on her....if you do it yourself and you like the car, why not? its not that expensive to do it yourself and if you really like the car, why not keep it going? if you dont like it, dont bother, save the money and get something you do like....like i should have

^well...basically...i would get another camry if i had to because of the mileage...but this one has a sentimental value to it

why does it need a new engine and transmission?

its gonna need it soon (within 5 years)...plus i plan on building turbo and other engine goodies

what about you going to UK? as per your sig....you cant take the camry with you.
