I need some help with installing this timing belt guide. Here's my problem: The crankshaft has two bumps/extrusions: one for the timing belt pulley, and one for the alternator pulley. When I install the timing belt pulley all the way in, the bump doesn't extend beyond the pulley. The notch on the timing belt guide has nothing to sit on, and I don't know what to do with it.
Does it sit loose on the crankshaft, or what? Wouldn't it grind away at the shaft eventually?
