Back from mechanic

but the car isnt, not yet. still waiting on 1 more part. i went out there today to get the part for my core (the R&P) and the car felt much better (, also has new plugs and wires and an intake cleaning...(yay!)

this is what came out of the car:

i picked up the ball joints...and i was shocked!

im amazed it still drove!

the only thing now, is the power steering is leaking FASTER., because he had to put new ATF in the power steering. all the old fluid was factory fill and it had gunked up the lines and probably the pump too, so they didnt leak

Cool

Time to ditch the ES 250. Getting to expencive. Either keep it for a second car, or try and sell it as soon as it's driveable.

Damn sounds like money. I hate when its time to fix cars. You always find out the million things that are wrong with your car.

she now drives straight and true, maybe i will keep it, maybe i wont. it will depend on how it drives over the long term.

Army,

LOL, those ball joints look like toast. Didn't they make any noise?

How's the new rack?

On the old rack, was there any play in the joints inside the boots on the ends of the rack?

she isnt black, shes black JADE metallic LOL its a dark green.

and mine loses all its power steering fluid in 2 days. how did yours do? lol. it bleeds ALOT.

but im too far in now, so i might as well pop and have the rest of it done! just not yet, gotta save more $$$$$$. and actually, i may attack the timing belt/waterpupm and all the leaks myself. my neighbor will probably install all of my lines and my pump for $200. so i may go that route.

the ball joints had about an inch of play in any direction. really sucked. but the rack was getting bad too, so i had that done as well. the rack had VERTICAL play, but no horizontal, but the vertical play was bad, about 1/4 inch. and the rack and pinion mount bucshings fell apartin the mechanics hand
