Tell me I didn't mess it up...

Okay, changed the oil, front brake pads and rotated the tires today.

Everything went okay. Backed the Vette' out of the garage and put the Camry in to work on it.

Put the new brake pads and and that went well. I had the Vette' parked at the end of the driveway straight behind the Camry. Finished all the Camry projects and started backing it out of the driveway to put the Vette' back in.

Being the dumbass that I am, I forgot to pump the brake pedal because I pushed the brake pistons all the way in because the new pads needed to fit in there.

I start backing out and didn't have any brakes. I was headed straight for the Vette'. So the only thing that I could do is swerve to the side and put the car in P while it was going in reverse.

I heard some ticking and then it seemed fine. I drove it around the block a few times and it seemed fine.

Tell me I didn't fuck it up!

Should be fine, the ticking was the park rod waiting on an opening it could get into as they passed by. There's a reason they used to call parking brakes emergency brakes by the way...

Cool

Should be fine.
<warning: a favorite toyota story a head>

One of my lil cuz's friend's mom owns a '95 i4 camry. He constantly drives in reverse at 15mph, hits the gas and slams in into drive to do reverse burnouts.

I've done it a few times too in my ES. (all be it more power with a stronger transmission)

You didn't hurt anything... Good excuse to change the fluide tho.

That seems like a hell of lot of fun!

Cool

Trust us... It's cheaper to rip your entire transmission to shreads and replace it than hitting a vetta hahahahaha

Thank god it wasn't a Porsche or anything. Might as well have run into the road 'causing a tractor trailer to flip, dumping new Scion's everywhere, only to crash into newly finished housing!

It's an 88' Vette'.

Drove it a few miles out to Sam's Club and it seemed fine. Hopefully, it will stay fine.

Cool

Which causes me to pose a question...

How far can an xB roll if given the thrust to weight ratio of a coconut laid en African swallow?

^^^ It wouldn't roll, just slide on it's side for about 13-15 ft. Considering it landed on it's side. If it landed on the top it would roll 90-degrees and slide like that for about 12 ft.

You'd be suprised at how simple things become when you're........intoxicated.
