well...i decided to go snow drifting (actually ice drifting) with my friend last night
it will be a night to live in infamey when i drifted too close to a curb and ran the car (bumper in front of left wheel) up over and gashed the tire and bent the steelie to hell
the car drive fine (spare is on), but when you center the steering wheel, the car pulls to the right...not to mention that the my dad measured from the tire to the wheel well on the right, and then measure it on the left (where it hit) and its pushed back .25 inches!!!!!
is my camry totally fucked after this? how much do you think the damage will be, and what is it?

wheel alignment, i hit the kerb at 80kph, buckled both left steelies, and an alignment fixed it. camry's have adjustable almost evrythings when it comes to the suspension bits (my friends getting rear control arms off a camry for his rx-7).

i did the same thing the first winter i had my liscense, first time driving in snow. i thought i had slowed enough for the corner and my cam understeered and hit the curb with my left front wheel. bent the steely and the wheel shimmied and pulled to the right from then on. took it to a shop, got a new refurbished steelie and an allignment and everything was
haha dude your as goofy as me. i did the same thing i pop the hub cap off and cracked it. big scuff on the steelie like its going to blow. i did it at 30mph just about. my alignment is complete screwed. My steering wheel wobbles like its shaking its head at me if i take my hands off lol.
I think you'll be okay. It'll cost you some money but not as much as it could've been if you really crashed it into something big like another car or a building or a light pole.
yeah you are probably ok. have the alignment peeps check out anything that looks out of wack.
also your probably noticing that ur car is pulling to the right or left because you had the spare on. the car should pull to the side that the spare is on.
glad that u are ok. i love to drive stupid in the snow too but be careful.
For future refrence, he was not drifting. Key word here is ice. He was sliding, no power or control involved (if so, very little). I presume you were just pulling the brake and sliding on the ice, correct me if I'm wrong.
As was said, alignment is the first thing to check, as it is the simplest thing it could be. If this doesn't solve the problem, start at the hubs and work your way back. You might also want to check your brakes if you had the e-brake locking the back tires when you hit, could have bent some stuff in there.

He was on snow on the streets. And there is such a thing as FWD drifting. And you do use power to control your direction. Whether people choose to believe it or not, FWD can drift, it's just not in the same form as RWD, or AWD do it. And if you don't believe me, tell that to the guys who drive the WRC Prius
If you want to know how, I can explain how to use accel and steering to drift and control a FWD car. It's more simple than you think. And no, I have never used my E-brake to do it.
I'll post video once my friend Ryan uploads it
