Rim + Tire size and speedo change

My XLE has stock 16's and I was thinking of going to a 17" but was a little conserned about the speedo change. While evey so little. I'd like to keep it from happening as well as ensure that the tires fit.

If I got a slightly larger rim but got a slightly lower profile tire so that the over all total diameter of the tire + Rim was the same as with my 16", it would keep the speedo the same. But. how would that affect ride. Would it be a noticeably rougher ride?

Thanks for the help

Tire size

Check TIRERACK.COM.

Get your OEM diameter and then play around with the combinations, as long as you are pretty close to your OEM diameter, you will not see a huge Speedometer change.

I also use SEARS, they state the diameter of the tires when you make a size selection.

Good luck.

Play around with this until you find a good combo.
