1: Start by removing the OEM Power Antenna.
1A: Unscrew the antenna nut using needle nose pliers (or the like), in the notches marked in the photo.
1B: Same the plastic gromet, you will need this with the S2000 antenna.
2: Pull back the trunk carpet for acess to the power antenna. The plastic clips are highlighted in the photo.
3: Remove the OEM power antenna from the car.
3A: Unscrew the 2 nuts that hold it on (center red circle in photo).
3B: Unclip the wire harness (top red circle in photo).
3C: Pull out the drain tube from the floor by the jack (bottom red circle in photo).
3D: Pull off the black cable from the antenna.
4: The Celica sub-antenna bracket needs to be bent as shown below to screw into the car in the same spot as the OEM power antenna. This is the only pain in the butt thing in this. It's not hard, just time consuming. Below is a photo of about what it will look like when bent for fitment, so you have an idea what to go for.
5: Refering back to step 3D (removal of the black cable), insert it onto the Celica sub-antenna, simply by pushing it on. (Sorry, no picture was taken)
6: When properly bent, screw it securley onto the car using the one of the 2 OEM power antenna nuts.
7A: Place the Camry gromet over the Celica sub-antenna (as highlighted by the red mark).
7B: Screw on the Ceica antenna nut, as highlighted by the blue mark.
AND, Your DONE!

The Following User Says Thank You to ASG14 For This Useful Post:
about $22.50, tax included, for the REAL S2000 antenna.
About $49, tax included, for both celica pieces. That is with a 20% discount, because I was having problems with a part from them, so they gave me 20% off of those parts as a sorry.

Great stuff. I want to bang my head on the wall. My mechanic just replaced my antenna, cost me $100, inlcuding labor, steep you might say. I would love the s2000 conversion and nothing to worry about frozen antenna, hate that thing going up and down....uses battery, too....
Maybe one day....I love the look of the S2000 conversion!
nice write up 2 questions.... which year is the celica (for the sub-antenna) and secondly, the celica nut looks identical to the stock camry retaining nut! wouldn't the camry nut do....

#1. I do not know, as I bought it straight from the dealer using the part number. Your best bet, and sure way to find out would be to call the dealer (prolly using a 1-800 #) and ask them to tell you what year celica this part is for.
#2. Good question.......I am going to look into that tomorrow.........
