What do you guys think of the quality of these shifters? Are they metal? How do they feel.

i got one and i luv it. i had to search for one for a long time here in Canada since i didn't want to get it online from the US. found one when i was in Richmond, BC on day. cost me about $125 CAN.

on my gen3 i had to shorten the shifter staff in order to make the shifter sit nice and low.

Very nice -- do you have overdrive on that? I was admiring Henry's mod's . . . I have a 93 XLE, and I really want to replace my shifter. I just bought clear bumper lights for my front -- but now I'm afraid they're illegal.

ray ray.. to replace your shifter knob did you have any trouble disconnecting the o/d wire?... some people have told me the factory knob comes right off.. and some have told me you gotta cut the wire and create a seperate button for the o/d.. with the auto anyway.. i need something for my 96 auto camry..

Shorten it with a pipe cutter for the outside stalk, and with a hacksaw for the inner rod. I forgot how much I cut though.

You have to cut the wires and splice them into the new switch. Its not rocket science.

Yes, Levoc shifters are the best shifter you can get with an OD button. The quality is very good.

Razo isn't that bad either... they have an O/D button also.. looks a bit bulky but cool styling.. i may get the RAZO instead of the LEVOC

I got one and it was a pain in the ass to install. The factory wires are way too short. It's cool though. Both pieces are made of plastic and the E-Brake Handle Cover just sticks on with some 3M tape. I got em both from Http://www.custommaxima.com

yep... you'll have to cut the wires to remove the shifter. you can install it "as-is" or you can cut the inner and outer staff to have it sit lower. i think i cut both staffs about 2.5 inches.

remember: "measure twice, cut once"

here's a pic after i did the cutting with a hacksaw. it would've probably been easier if i used a pipe cutter. you might be able to rent/borrow one from your Home Depot. they don't cost that much either... about $10 - 12 for a pipe cutter.
