coupe body kits

hey, i've been thinkin about getting a body kit for my car, and i was wondering if i need to get a special kind or something, but from what i hear, i wont have to, cause i've read that coupes and sedans are the same length, i this true?

i have messured and found that the front doors are 10 inches wider, but how is it that they are the same length???? how does that 10 inches account for the whole passenger side doors on sedans?

my next question is if they are the same length inbetween wheels, will the side skirts on a normal gen3 body kit fit the sides of my coupe?

onehotcamry, you have a full kit on your cam, did you have to get special skirts or anything?

thanks guys, plus i need to make this decision before i get my car painted

I would think the only modification that you'll have to make to the side skirts is the part where it mounts onto the door frame.....because the sedan ones are made for 2 door lengths, the one single but longer door length would still not be quite as long....probably a bit of a chop would do it....

if you're getting your kit installed at a shop, they should be able to do it with no problems.

and they USED to sell kits for the coupe...

i thought i remeber seeing that razzi made side skirts for coupes...but other than that im pretty damn sure your gunna have to get your side skirts custom fitted for your coupe. the front and back should fit no probem

the coupes and the sedans are exactly the same in length the only thing different obviously is the door and door size lol. when i had sideskirts on my coupe i bought one made for the sedan and just had to cut the part on the sideskirt that rolls inside the door (pretty much had to cut out the section made for the rear door). it wasnt anything hard and if you didnt want to do it yourself, it wouldnt be anything difficult for any bodyshop . also it might depend on what type of sideskirt you get, some mount differently than others.. the one i had was from www.importfan.com and it was the trd style sides.
