Paintjob and Mounting...

Well I've been thinking about installing a cyberbody body kit for my camry.

Thing is I'm not too sure how much this project will cost me in the long run. How much does it cost to install one and paint my car?

My camry does need a new paintjob since i have a lot of chips and scratches all across the hood.

Can anyone tell me a total price? Cause I don't really have a lot of money and my friends are all telling me a good paintjob alone is around 2k-3k which is more than the body kit itself. I really want to get one but at most I would pay is 1500 for the body kit and paint. Suggestions?

Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp! Thanks!

Your friends are right. A quality paint job costs around $2000. Expect to pay $3000 for the bodykit+installation+painting.

3k paint jobs are only for VERY VERY good quallity paint jobs....actaully 3k is alot for a paint job....more like 1k is the amount for a good job.......but when i got mine repainted it was for $300, and there's nothing wrong with it at all, except for one spot where the paint is peeling on my bumper, but im about to get the whole thing painted black in mid march or april , but yeah i wouldnt do a paint job for 3k..EVER, but seriously you get what you pay for when it comes to paint jobs. so be careful so some shop doesn't screw you

if it was me, i could pull it all together for $1500, but that's me cause my buddy can hook me up with anything i need for CHEAP, so my numbers are really all that accurate for your case, but im just throwin my 2 pennies out there for ya.

do it yourself.. start with a little fiberglass work research(a few books), then check out some general painting tips(books again) ........then just give it hell!
I had never done any body work or painting what so ever prior to building my mr2.... my body kit was $435 shipped, fiberglass kit\resin\bondo\sander\primer $100, and my paint\clear , gun were like $200.... that makes what....around $800...damn. I didn't know it cost me that much. come to think of it, maybe I should've just spent the other $200 and had someone do the work.... but then again when people ask me who did the work....and I tell them I did....it kind of makes me feel good when they tell me their mommy paid for theirs.

for the kit, try octaneautosports, itll run your about $800 i think...as far as the paint job, if your going for the same color as your car is, $1000 will do you quite nicly, a 3k paint job is for a real good paint job, but if you plan on running it as yoru daily driver DONT spend 3K on a paint job, youll have chips and shit all over it and youll be pissed. as far as the intall, you can do it yourslef will little problem

It doesn't make sense to spend soo much on a paint job because you'll just end up getting pissed when it starts to get chips and scratches and all that shit. I'm sure it wouldn't be that hard putting to put on the kit.
