Talking Just dropped my car off to be tinted!

20% in the 2 front windows, 5% in the back windows, and 5% in the rear window

$210 for the job

Madico Onyx tint

The intaller has over 30 years of experience.

I get to pick it up tomorrow at lunch

However, "since you're asking me to do something illegal, there won't be a reciept."

I'm stoked

edit:

So I am thinking about it and I come to the conclusion that the 5% tint I was going to have put on is too dark, so I call him.
I say, "i changed my mind about the 5% tint. i'd like 20% tint all the way around please." Then he says, "well, I already put the back piece of 5% tint on. It's too late buddy." Then I say "what if I spot you the money for the tint you already installed and you instal 20% instead?" Then He says "Ok, it'll be $40 extra." So I said to myself "shit, well i'm out another $40."
So my car will have 20% tint all the way around, and will have cost me a total of $250, just because I choose a guy I couldn't trust and I was impatient.

update:
I got the car back today! The tint still needs to dry, methinks, whereas there are bubbles of solution everywhere...

You shouldn't tint the rear window %5. It's pretty dangerous at night, your visibility will be close to none, except for lights. If there's someone standing behind you and there are no lights around you will hit the person.

Also, how much are you paying?

Just remember, no opening windows for three days after they are tinted, this prolongs tint life thereafter!

I tint cars and 5% IS too dark at night, I've had my experiences and that's why I don't recommend 5% for the rear window.

By the way, $250?!?!?!?!?!? Holy shit I need to move to the continental U.S. and tint cars overthere. I charge $5 per window, and $10 for the front windshield and the rear.

Anyways, still a lot of money.

In Puerto Rico the most expensive you'll find around my area is $120, for the whole car. I charge $40-$45 for a car, $50-$55 for a normal sized S.U.V (4Runner, Montero, etc.) and I don't need to keep the car for a whole day, just a few hours.
