Wassup,
Does anyone know how to hook up the blue neons for the inside of the car so that when I open my doors up they will turn on. I just bought them from autozone and I want to the neons to turn on when I open my doors in my 1992 Generation 3 Toyota Camry. Is there any fuses I can hook it up to or somethin? Please reply back with any help thanks.

Do you know that this mod is copyrighted by me? J/K...
You'll need a relay and lots of wires. Find power source and ground, do that first, then hook up the neons and the door sensor to your relay.
Copyrighted? All this time I've been STEALING your mods elegantcam!! Seriously though it does come out cool, if your into the whole neon thing. I even got so when i open my trunk it goes on.

Get a test wire, and open and close your door, testing various wires. You can usually pull up wire charts and where to find which wires online (im not sure where, you'll have to search that out yourself).
Hey can anyone help me?? I dont have a wire tester so does anyone know which wirer is the wirer that senses the door when it opens and closes? Dickson..wheres the door sensor your talking about? Thanks for the help
Sorry- I don't know how to help you on the door situation.
I did put one in my trunk and wired it so it only comes on when the trunk is open. I tapped into the stock switch that turns on the regular light in the trunk, and as it turns out that switch is just the ground wire for the light. When you close the trunk, the gound is broken so the light stays off. When you open the trunk, the switch complete's the ground, and the light comes on. It's probably the same thing for the doors... (I have a Gen 3 Camry) Maybe that'll help you out?
how about the switch on the pillar behind the driver's seat, the one that makes the annoying dinging sound when you leave the door opened, you could take the signal from there?
camryLI: Neons are NOT cool, neons + door sensors is cool.
take out the door sensor (the little nipple that you see under the B-pillar when you open the door), you'll find a wire underneath the nipple you can tab into.
Then I guess mine are kewl!
Its all a matter of taste. If its done cleanly, and the colors are in some kind of scheme, it does give a nice effect.
I believe in a happy medium. JDM is a little boring for me. However, I'm against altezzas for anything but the ALTEZZA! You've got to come up with your own style and look.
Be original and you can't go wrong!IMO

If you want the neons to only turn on when you open the drivers door you can hookup the relay to the switch on the B pillar.
If you want them to turn on whenever you open any door you'll have to take apart the dash and get to a plug on the fuse box (see link below for more info).
