Hi everyone.

My brother has a 1990 camry and I can't remember if the center console ever had any lights in it to show you what gear you were in. I know the dash console will show you but when I drove his car at night it seemed pretty weird that when I looked down to put it in reverse there was total darkness on the gear console. It seemed a little strange. Are there any small bulbs or anything that I can change or was there no lighting there to begin with?

I'm not familiar with the gen2, but I think there should be a light that shows you what gear you are in. In my gen3 it's a regular 194 bulb, don't know if it si the same for the gen2.

Theres a bulb that goes into the bottom of the shifter cover.

Getting to the bulb is a pain in the ass. The center console needs to be removed.

The bulb is a #74 bulb.
