Hmm... Mod or Mistake :P

Just look at the the videos and tell what you think has "been done" to my baby.
O yea.. you can see my reverse glow gauges in the vids too

Day Just revvin in the parkin lot before i go inside for work

night me leaving the parkin lot to go home

Sorry no video of me dusting this fartcanned escort like 2 mins after i took the night vid that was attracted to the noise like flies to a light (on the track of course>.> )

If the files dont work then i'll figure somethin out.

lol.. close enough.. hole in the catalytic converter. It can stay for now becuz i like the sound but i know i need to get it fixed soon

Nice gauges eh. Anywho for anyone in the MD area, you might remember that snow "storm" we got a few weeks back. i suppose i ran over something in the snow or hit a pothole at a crucial angle... but thats the product. The shop quoted me ~$800 to fix it. I found the partfor $400 cat, converter and whatever else that connects it. Can i fix it myself, i heard somethin about 4 screw points if not then it might require welding?

if its a gen3 then just download the sticky manual at the top and maybe do a search...

most defineately you could do it yourself just make sure u use search before u ask...

just run it w/ the whole exhaust off including the cat

we did that on my friends gsx, drove it around. Sounded sweet in the upper rpms, but loud as shit and was a tad slower

Cool

I'm all for killing old cats out, but leave the resonator.
v6's (Especially every one Toyota ever made) sound so blaaaaah without a res. They get too loud for the streets, and horribly raspy.

Atleast for my tastes.

If you really think you dont' want a res, try one of those spiral resonators one of the 3vz-fe guys just did (I think it was luckynumber5, or t3vzgfef - hitting myself I don't remember who it was!!!) That thing definately get's my seal of approval!

you have done to your car what somebody deliberately did to mine, before the last inspection. they drilled a hole in the pipe just before the cat, on the upper part, to vent exces exhaust gas to bring the CO readings down...bastage!

That thing sounds nice. Imagine people would pay to have sound liek that and you got it with just a hole in your cat.

Yea, it actually does'nt sound bad at the moment, so I don't mind it. It will get louder though i believe as the hole gets bigger. I looked at my Haynes Manual and it looks like 4 screw points so i can get the "hi flow" cat. converter i saw in this car mag (I think it was summit racing) and put it on myself
