lol.. close enough.. hole in the catalytic converter. It can stay for now becuz i like the sound but i know i need to get it fixed soon
Nice gauges eh. Anywho for anyone in the MD area, you might remember that snow "storm" we got a few weeks back. i suppose i ran over something in the snow or hit a pothole at a crucial angle... but thats the product. The shop quoted me ~$800 to fix it. I found the partfor $400 cat, converter and whatever else that connects it. Can i fix it myself, i heard somethin about 4 screw points if not then it might require welding?

I'm all for killing old cats out, but leave the resonator.
v6's (Especially every one Toyota ever made) sound so blaaaaah without a res. They get too loud for the streets, and horribly raspy.
Atleast for my tastes.
If you really think you dont' want a res, try one of those spiral resonators one of the 3vz-fe guys just did (I think it was luckynumber5, or t3vzgfef - hitting myself I don't remember who it was!!!) That thing definately get's my seal of approval!

for anything, anytime; including camry turbos Now with Turbo!
you have done to your car what somebody deliberately did to mine, before the last inspection. they drilled a hole in the pipe just before the cat, on the upper part, to vent exces exhaust gas to bring the CO readings down...bastage!

Yea, it actually does'nt sound bad at the moment, so I don't mind it. It will get louder though i believe as the hole gets bigger. I looked at my Haynes Manual and it looks like 4 screw points so i can get the "hi flow" cat. converter i saw in this car mag (I think it was summit racing) and put it on myself
