Worth the Mulah?

So the air filter needs to be replaced so i decided to go ahead and spill the mulah for an intake. Wanna know if this will be worth it. I am not lookin for major gains, its just a begining start to something bigger. Lemme know if its worth the money.

intake = a lot of noice and not a whole lot of power gains...but you will save on your gas as you see your mpg go up a little!

I see that as being a bit too expensive. Why not go with a knock off for a third of that price?

i have a gen 4 4cyl and there used to be obx cai for liek80 but i can't find it anymore. There is one guy on the forums that might his own cai, kind of ghetto though. the fuse/relay box is boxing the hole to do a cai, so i don't know how obx got around this. But the guy on the forums that did it, extended his short ram, and used like a rubber spring thing, looks like the thing on the back of a laundry machine, and attach the air filter to it. Not sure how good it works. I'll tell u his name which i figure it out lol.

I would look into a CAI or into an extension to make it into a CAI.

expect 4hours til you paint it and remove all air box components

ok, ill look into that. so should i spend the mulah and get the injen and look for the extension or should i just go for the cheap one. ill take care of the cai later i just need to replace it for now. im thinkin ill go with the injen that way in the future i can go cai.

paint it? he meant buying a CAI, not building one.

Building one takes some time, but it's not too hard really. the hardest part for me was removing the old intake that routes itself through hell and back.
