OK guys, we have all seen all red tails, weve seen Tony the Tigers led tails, weve seen red and smoked tails. Its time for change, and I belive change is good in this case. I was going to make a set of red/amber tails for my full red tails...I still intend to do so. Heres the new idea. Get a brand new set of all clear tails and take them apart. Spray down a coat of smoke and a coat or two of candy apple red....So whats so diffrent? Its going to be painted from the inside. Im not all that sure on how its going to turn out, im hoping for a transparent black cherry red. This is still a little ways off, im going to get my rims and tires on before I even touch a led. Once the rims and tires are on...im going full led. Whats your thoughts?

But hey, it's your money. Just to let you know when you take taillights apart like that, you'll end up getting moisture into the taillights.
It's better off not "being different" in this case. Good luck either way.

heres a suggestion for those of you who wish to horribly mod your TAILLIGHTS... go to the grocery store, and buy a bag of rice, take apart your tail lights, just put the rice right in there, and then drive around like that... cause you are a ricer. stereotypical high school kid with a honda. no better no worse. its you people who give imports a bad name.

thats what i was thinking but i didn't want to squash someones dreams like that!
I was re-reading the post and I thought of something that might be a little less risky.
Why not get a set of clear lens covers and paint them the way you want. If they turn out, then get a set of clear tailights and just put the covers on.
Oh btw....thank you so fucking much for stealing my thread.
Now everyone is thinking im putting toyota symbols inside my tailights. Thanks.

Very close to it. What im going for is this, I want people to walk up to my car, notice the projectors, notice the tails....then take a walk around it and notice the detail inside the headlights, notice just how complex the tails are. I want them to be able to look at my car for a good 30 mins and still not find things. My final goal is for them to look at it, turn to me and say.....what the hell kind of car is this?
The next set of projectors will be very very detailed and custom painted. Im still trying to think of a way to paint the tails in a diffrent way. Everyone will just have to wait and see what comes of all of this...including myself.
