I have a 95 camry wagon. The car makes this annoying squeaking sound as my passenger front wheel rotates. I changed the brakes thinking that could be the cause and the sound did not go away. How can you tell if the bearing is bad or if the sound is caused by a bad axle? Are there any "shade tree" tests I can perform?

A bearing noise would be more of a growl or rumbling. With the car up is there any freeplay in that passenger front tire? An axle noise would be a metalic clicking on turns. Did you change the pads and rotors? Make sure the the backing plate isnt touching the rotor.
