Question Quick question-

Hi guys. I have an 05 camry le and it has about 700 miles. I got the car this year Janurary and the car was manufactured in October, 2004. The dealer said to do the first oil cahnge at 3750 miles and i was wondering- since my car is 4 months old from the date of manufacture, should I do an oil change soon? Normally oil change interval is every 3000-5000 miles or 3-6 months(which ever comes first). Any help would be greatly appreciated.

as long as you watch your oil levels and see it clean, i would wait till the milage has been attained. I've personally went close to 9 months on the same oil cus we hadn't driven anywhere close to 3K miles. (one year we only added 2500 miles ).

I wouldn't let fossil oil sit in an engine more than 6 months. Mileage is not the only thing that can degrade oil. Oil is cheap and changes are easy, why even think about risking it?

The first fill-up of oil that goes in is usually a special kind to set the seals, gaskets, and all the juicy stuff in there. So yes, you should have it changed at their specified interval.

Break it in properly. Hope that helps
