hey, i really need your guys help on my 91 camry 2nd gen, when i accelerate my car from a stop i noticed from outside when my friend tested my car that the rear of my car sags or lowers when he accelerates...it is prolly the 2 12's and a box that i have in the back but is there any way I can fix that without taking out my subs? do i upgrade the struts or springs? when i put my hand over my trunk and push my car bounces soo easily...thank you
sounds like a normal accel weight transfer, esp if you got stuff in the trunk. dont sweat it. only if you car rides like a lowrider do you need to replace struts/springs.

thanks guys...the car only sags when i am at a stop then accelerate, from there on its normal...i thought there was a way to adjust the strut or spings but guess not lol...my car only has 19 thousand miles how can it be blown already...what brand srpings and struts do u guys recommend for a car wit a system in the back...i was thinking of lowering my car anyways...thanks
If your car bounces up more than 2 times when you pushed the car down, its definately the struts causing the excessive sagging. I would go stock, but if there is none, my personal preference is tein.
both mine and my friends gen 2's do that. but we have noticed that it aint so much the ass end sagging, its the front end launching upwards! its funny to watch. at first i thought it was my rear struts, but my friends does it and his struts were replaced not long ago. so i say its fine. your "sagging" is prob more pronounced due to that extra weight in your tail.
Just cuz the car only has 19,000 miles doesn't mean the struts aren't blown.. remember the car is a 1991 model.. that's 14 years those struts have been holding the car's weight.. maybe its time to replace.
its normal weight transfer, all cars do it, but camrys have soft springs and are kinda far from the ground so your going to have a pretty big reaction, you can do this, put some stiffer springs in the back and/or lower the car, and check your struts
i dont see why its a problem. a lot of the higher end cars now tend to lower itself overall when accerlation for the areodynamics. I would take it as a good thing. nontheless.
if it really bothers you, it wouldn't be too much trouble to change tour suspension to stiffer aftermarket suspension....then you'll not only not have the sag on launch, but an overall stiffer ride
