Changing Distrubutor cap/wires

I have 104k on Gen3 2.2, original cap wires and rotor, The car starts and runs ok, a little sluggish when cold. but not bad, Question is how often do you all change these, The hayes manual says every 30k!? Also how difficult is it to do? thanks in advance for any opinions and help...... I forgot! the plugs are new, Bosh platinum.......Joe

dis caps are easy to change out.. only 2 flat head screws on the side and that's it. as long as u don't unscrew the bolt u should be ok cause that'll change the timing... u just change it once the contact points gets bad...

It's probably about time for you to change the cap and rotor if you are on the originals at 104k. It is really easy. The hardest part is not breaking the clips on the wires. They can get brittle after time. After that, the cap and rotor are self expanitory if you just examine them.
