Yup, the IAT sensor is within the AFM. If you look inside the AFM where the flapper (the metal plate that moves back/forth) is you'll see a white probe sticking out from the top of the AFM. That white probe is the IAT.
As far as testing goes, you can measure for resistance. Like I said in your other thread, I don't have the specs for a 2VZ-FE, but I do have the specs for a 3S-FE. Anyways the testing procedure should be the same.
The testing procedure won't help you much since you have a different engine, but I'll go through it anyways.
Heres the specs and troubleshooting info from a Toyota ewd (electrical wiring diagram) manual for a 3S-FE (88 Camry):

If you look under where it says "air flow meter", you'll see that 5-7 (pin 5 to pin 7) is the IAT. Notice how the resistance changes based on temp, this tells me its the measurements for the IAT.
You'll also notice that theres a capital "H" in a circle next to where it says "air flow meter". This means refer to plug "H".
This scan here shows the plug (H):

Its a 7 pin plug. What you see in the plug diagram is the wiring harness end of the plug. So the pin numbers on the AFM itself are reversed. IE: Pin 7 is on the left and pin 1 is on the right.
The resistance measurements are taken at the plug on the AFM, not the wiring harness end of the plug.

I really don't want to buy a new one. And theres none around at wreckers either (unless its the same as another car?? 3sfe??)

AFM from a 3S-FE will not work. Totally different engine.
