Yes but if no one ever starts new threads there is no point to this forum. Might as well make it a closed data base. If you are serious about making power in a Camry, you need a deep pocket book. I am spending over $5000 to put a 3SGTE and a Solara tranny in my car. Look up posts by Wraith, Tony the Tiger and some other senior members.

Engine swap? Does tranny fit?

Hey everyone I've got a 3vz right now in my 3rd gen. Does anyone know if the 3vz tranny works with a 1mzfe?

Eh.....

1mz not too worth it.
I'd rather get a 3sgte.
And then since he is auto, the tranny he needs to get it model e153.

Good point. Still it would be awesome if we could combine all the collective info on the 3S GTE swap and the manual conversion into two threads with solid info, every step or close to it basically covered. Sorting through different threads trying to decide what will work with what, there are a lot of gaps to fill in. If there were two writeups where everything is covered and evryone who knows their stuff agrees that this is the way to do it, that would be nice. Just my .02
