Need Help!!!

Today I took my car to get and engine wash and my car has been idling rough since then. It idles where it usually idles but its really rough and not as smooth as it normally is. Also it stutters a little when I step on the gas and when I put it in park the rpms drop low then raise back up. What could this be? PLugs got wet? Distributor got wet?

Water inside the distributor cap and/or ignition coil got wet.

So what do I need to do? Just wipe them or soemthing?

^ Yup.

Remove the distributor cap and wipe up all the water.

All wipe up any water that you see around the rotor, coil, distributor internals.

You can also use a hair dryer if you want.

OK I just opened up the distributor and there seemed to be no water, but I still wiped up and stuff and used a hair dryer. Still I have the same problem. Do I need to take off the ignition coil fro the distributor and weipe that up? Or do I need to check something else.

Personally, I would do the coil as well, if you have it that far apart...why not. That should clear it up

the simplest way is just to idle the car for a while or dive it slowly up and down your street.

it sounds like water- somewhere.

and instead of going through the trouble of finding it, once the engine warms up, it will evaporate all the water anyway. The only problem you would have is if water pooled somewhere important. But then generally you won't even be able to start the car.

becareful not to drive it around to long with it running rough like that. you may do damage to your cat converter or o2 sensors. which is kinda pricey. worse comes to worse spent $40 and replace everything(plugs,cap,rotor). just for piece of mind.

I think it's the plug because I took out the plug and noticed some a water drop on it. I think I'm just gonna change all ym plugs
