this will probably seem like a dumb question but i wanna know. Anyways when you buy struts for a gen 4 let's say or any car. Aren't the front struts the same, and the back are the same, only difference between them are there are ones for the front and ones for the back right? or does side matter too? ex: when you buy struts are they label to be specifly for one side like left and right, or just front and back?

Side matters as well. There is a front drivers side, front passenger, rear driver and rear passenger that make up a set. On the gen 4 there are sway bar mounts on the strut body and abs bracket and brake line brackets that are side specific.
