Subs w/ Toyota Factory Deck

I just acquired my dad's 2000 Camry LE V6 and it has the stock 6-disc in-dash cd player. Does anyone know if it is possible to hook up an amp and subs to that deck? I'm thinking about buying a Fosgate 1000w 2channel amp and 2 12s or maybe 3 10s. Nothing is for sure yet though. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Just buy some rca converters from your local sound shop there around$20 bucks or so thats how i had my sounds hooked up till my stock stereo died on me. I sugest you buy a new stereo it makes a big diference in quality.

Upgrade your deck for sure...I had a sub on the stock deck, sounded like crap. You can't just use rca converters, you have to use a low-level input converter...basically it transforms the speaker outputs to a low level input for the amp. It'll suck though, especially with the equipment you're planning on buying.

Alright, thanks for the help. I dont think i'm gonna do any mods to it performance wise considering its on a lease until 2004 and i don't want to have to rip all the stuff off of it before i return it. Think i'll just rice it up a bit with some street-glow just so people know its a teen driving not an adult.

PS- is this site mainly for Canada or something because i've read some posts about meets in Toronto/Montreal and stuff like that.
