emblems

You can just take a hair dryer and heat up the emblem to melt the glue, then use a putty knife to carefully pull it off. However you will still have the holes left. You have to get them filled or just shave the emblems. Hope this helps.

to take it to a body shop. Its expensive but the only other way I know of is to fill it with ? something yourself. This may or may not look good.

i took off all 3 emblems off the back of mine. the two outer ones (toyota and xle) had 2 holes, and the toyota symbol had 3 holes. It cost me 900 dollars to repaint my hood, trunklid (including filling in all the holes) and all 4 fender. No idea how much it would cost to just fill in the holes though.

try dental FLOSS instead of a knife/blade. I've seen some way messed up jobs from people who used knives.

floss ain't gonna do much if there's holes... works well if it's just adhesive holding it on. here's a pic of my 1992 LE backside. the holes for the "TOYOTA" and "LE" are already filled in. you can see the holes for the middle emblem still. i don't think that it's been confirmed which years have holes and which ones don't... seems that US vs JAP made differ (?)

Some have holes, some don't. I have holes and mine's a 92. You can easily check by just lifting the emblem up ever so slightly...you'll see if you have the holes.

On my 1991 DX, there was holes under the Toyota and Camry. I removed them and spraypainted them white to match my car. Then I just snapped them back in. It's on the right side of the trunk.

For the DX, I just removed it following these directions in the link below. I also used these instructions to remove the dealership logo from when I bougth the car.

for just that part... i'm not quite sure. i had the whole car done after it got caught in a hail storm. all in all, to get the dents out, new hood, new paint... it came out to about $3000 (insurance).

not too sure how much it would be to just get the trunk done.
