I was getting some squeaking on my rear brakes that has been going on for more than a month. Finally broke down and did the work to fix the problem.
One of the problems was with one of the Bosch pads in the rear. One of the pads had separated from the frame plate that they're on. One that particular pad, there was only wear on 3/4 of the pad.
I also took the rotors off and cleaned the emergency brake area well with brake cleaner. Then I sprayed some lube on it.
I called Murray's about the brake pads because Bosch has a lifetime warranty and the pads were only put on in October. They gave me the ceramic pads in a straight exchange.
I put the pads on and made sure to liberally use the blue stuff on the shims.
So far, no squeaking so I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
