No you don't mask off the orange part.

You want to mask off everything but, the orange part. The whole idea is to spray the orange part so it turns red.

There was someone who did take the lense off the housing and painted the inside of the lense red. It looked OEM. I did the outside myself, but wished I had known that it was possible to do the inside 'cause it looks so much better.

He took a heat gun and heated up the "caulking" to remove the lense from the housing. Then he put clear packing tape on the inside of the amber lense, and sprayed it. The tape was used incase he screwed up, so he could take off the tape and remove the paint really easily. Then he use some caulking to reapply the lense to the housing. From the pics I saw, it looked really sweet.

At least that's what I remember- don't blame me if you try and mess 'em up.

Yes, here's a pic. I did the outside, and it doesn't look bad, but it's not the same as the rest of the lense. Use this link for the full pic (it's the 3rd one):

I just used the testors transparent candy apple red paint from WalMart.

Yeah, I'm in the states, so it's pretty easy to find.
I put too much on, I think. I don't remember how many coats I used. But in person, in certain lights, I can still sorta tell that there's amber under there somewhere. I think it looks darker in the pic 'cause the light doesn't reflect off it as well 'cause it's a little orange-peely, as opposed to the perfectly smooth stock lense.

It's pretty cheap- under $4 a can. I'd get you some, but I think that the US post office doesn't allow mailing of spray-paints. I have to go there tomorrow, so I'll check that out for ya and let you know.
