Trunk misalignment on 05'

hey guys
when i look closely to the gap of the trunk on my 2005 camry, there is more gap on the passenger side trunk than the driver's side by about 1/16th of an inch. Also, the passenger side bumps up a little bit compared to the driver's side. Anyone has this issue?

p.s- the driver's side door is more harder to close compared to other doors. It ajars when i dont use enough force which would normally close other doors just fine. Im a little disappointed with the quality of Toyota.

Thanks.

my car has 720 miles and I bought it new with 40 miles on the odometer. I did not get into any accident. Could the dealers have sold me a car that was in accident which they "secretly" fixed it and title it as a new veihcle?

Take it back the dealer & have them line the trunk and door..toyota sells over 300 thousand camry a year. my 05 se got the new spring change(recall), had a bad bushing in the steering wheel colum..they fixed me right up..ride'n perrrfect now. roll'n roll'n.

Hello:

Yeah, I have the same type of gap on my 05 Camry (Passenger side) It drives me nuts but I bet there are a lot of other owners with the same problem. The trunk doesn't leak. I look at it as more of a cosmetic problem. The fit on the driver's side door seems ok.

I also notice a "thump in the engine area after I start up the car and drive it about 10 feet. It does this every time.
