Russian Camrys

http://english.auto.vl.ru/catalog/toyota/camry/

Crazy... Not at all like the any of the other versions I've ever seen. They had optitron on the 1994's, and it looks like they use the same gauge cluster as ours. Hmm

Another thing to note: 4 wheel drive

Those look nice. I like the 3rd and fourth ones they have there. That gen5 one also looks sweet.

RU sure those arent from japan

I thought that the majority of Russia drives left-hand drive cars. Those look like used cars *ahem* imported from Japan.

They don't look like any Japanese Camrys I've ever seen.
Edit: particularly the 1990-1996 models.

Is it just me or does the 94 look an awful lot like an avalon of similar year (I know it wasn't in production that early but still)?

Cool

I wouldn't want one of them.
They're like the JDM/Asian market cars. They never had any good engine choices.
NA, Western Europe, and Australian markets are the only ones that ever have any good engines.

I could be wrong, but they are likely to be models from Japan, or wherever else they have handles on the right. It not uncommon for used cars in Japan to be shipped whole to Siberia, or to be outright stolen for the market over there. The Russian site also has some pictures of places that are clearly in Japan. They didn't even bother to mask the license plates of some of the other vehicles on display, which may or may not have been placed on sale.

That said, a lot of these cars look more interesting than what we get over here, eh. The cars also have the folding side mirrors, which Toyotas here never seem to have.

Here is a used car site in japanese with a listing of used camrys:

List

Here is one of the listings:
Toyota Camry 4-door Sedan, 1800XJ, One owner, 175,000yen
