Well it is ultimately your decision, but you may want to ask yourself several questions.

How is the mechanical condition of the car?

If your camry is running mechanically sound, it might not be a bad idea, but if you have your doubts about how long the engine will last I would not do it.

Do I plan on keeping this car a while?

If you this is just a car until you buy your new one next summer, I would not do it. But if you are planning on keeping it until it dies go for it.

Is it going to be tasteful?

If it will not look good with what you have do so far to your car, and would be a stock car with the exception of a body kit, I would wait until you added some rims and more exterior accessories.

Hope this helps.

That sounds about right... the above post. Dont start modding a car unless your willing to toss around 800$ in parts to work on the bottom end of your engine. A kit is the first step for you in this, and you have to understand that the car may fail, and you will loose alot of money it you attempt to resell it after the car blows up

I'd have to agree with 91camryDX. Do yourself a favour and get the car inspected thouroughly before hand (ie. Compression tests, oil leaks, rust check, paint condition) address any problems you find during that appointment. Only then can you really start making decisions. If the car gets a clean bill of health, get your priorities in order. Do you have rims to compliment the kit? Have you lowered the car not only for better performance but looks as well? Can you really afford to go ahead with the project? Be truthful to yourself. It would be really stupid to spend $800-$1000 to slap a new kit on with no rims, huge fender gap and have the engine burm oil like a diesel engine![/b]

Yeah I just got my car painted black and I wanted to get the black widow kit. I think it will be to much money trying to make my car into the "perfect racer" but I'm still gonna get some 18's Chrome and drop it to make it look like a lexus 8)
