Talking catback.

Just found a cheap price for the muffler I've been drooling over and clicked 'buy.'

Flowmaster Hushpower II 2.25" muffler...

Looking to run it without a resonator, and eventually quite possibly without a cat.

I'll post some pics/videos/sound clips up when I get it installed. Just from hearing the sounds from flowmaster's site, I'm drooling.

I was really having second thoughts on getting it and just getting an msd 6al or 6+, but I'll wait on that until later. I've got quite a bit of performance stuff, and since this car's planned to be a street/strip car, I'd like to have the rest of the sound (and a tiny bit of performance).

Edit: Just found a nice resonator that doubles as a turn-down/tip for my exhaust. Looks like I'll be using one after all.

Edit2: Just ordered the res/turndown. It's a Flowtech Purple Hornie... sadly, it's on backorder 'til the 16th so I'll have my catback project put on a slight hold... here's the pic:

I'll likely be painting it black.

looks hot, should sound pretty sweet with the headers

I need to get my exhaust put on soon, hiding those big ol headers from mom is getting tough

Thanks guys, incase you guys don't know (I just realized, the pics may seem a little odd), my exhaust is being planned as being side-exit in front of the rear passenger side tire.

I still need to pickup some heatshielding for the floorboards so I don't start melting anything and order my mandrel bends to cut the tubing to fit. It's looking like I'll only need a very minimal amount of tubing.
