Sold your WRX....man that must have been tough. Autotrader.com works good, and you cando a geographic search in your area. V6 97 5 speed is great for mods, supercharger mainly...good luck with the hunt. Welcome to TN

Some TN'ers are selling their Camry V6 5speed with a supercharger already on it. You just gotta look for it.

Thanks, ya i had to sell it i coulnd't afford the car while in school and insurance was getting to high.

I find all the 4 cyl is there anything wrong with them? cause the v6 is not that easy to get.
I don't care for speed i want something realiable and looks good and isn't another honda, cause i love my prelude but the insurance walked me.

The v6 would be your best bet for performance, that aside, there's nothing wrong with the 4cyl. There's about the same aftermarket for both, although the 1MZ-FE (v6) is more popular to work on than the 5S-FE (i4).

The 5S-FE has the rippmods supercharger available and some parts that can be borrowed from an mr2 turbo to turbocharge it, along with a company doing camgrinds and a couple companies doing pistons/rods.

The 1MZ-FE has some companies that do pistons/rods as well. There's also the TRD supercharger for it, which it's pretty well known for.

Both engines are fairly reliable. The only complaint you'll hear is the 1MZ-FE sometimes will have a tendency to sludge if not taken care of properly (nothing a metal headgasket and some synthetic oil shouldn't take care of).

Good luck.

also what are some insurance totals i should expect on this car? will the insurance be higher still? because on my prelude it was huge due to being on the top 10 most stolen cars.
