i was wondering if there were any speed chips avalible for a 95 1MZ-FE, I've noticed there there is VERY little for that engine but could'nt hurt to ask.
well, let's see....u have the 1MZ-FE engine so you can get a Cold Air Intake (although there are different opinions on CAIs) don't even bother trying to modify your camry unless u are entirely serious about it and can take crap from ricers saying "its a freekin' camry!"....u would have to google for the chips (prolly "Camry AND venom chip") but i think there are better ways to spend ur money...(and don't get a cheap one off ebay)
i hope this is not too harsh but the truth hurts...i see u joined in 12/03...what have u done so far....
ur right...there is not much for are cars and u have to do alot of custom work yourself.

Damn man, why'd you spaz out on him? No need man, no need.
There are no install chips for the 1mz. However you do have two options for a piggy-back. You can go through the deal that Jet runs, where you remove and send your ECU to them and they program it for you. Or you can get an SMT6 unit which can be programmed by your home computer (after downloading the software). The SMT6 would be your best option if your serious about tuning. Just search it on Google, you'll find a site that sells it.
Happy tuning

Actually I go against an SMT for his application. They can't handle the direct 6 coil ignition. It *could* do it on it's own... But you'd wind up firing 3 or all 6 at a time. (theoretically, I never thought about it)
Tho if you want something to activate n2o, water, or extra fuel injection, fans/varriable intake etc. it's still tops.
Otherwise just buy an SAFC to tune the A/F ratio.

for anything, anytime; including camry turbos Now with Turbo!
well lets see, ive got full suspension upgrade, sprint shocks and springs, rims and summer tires, i was not about to spend almost 300 bucks for a CAI...so i built one...works just as good from what i can tell and last is the muffler. i jsut want some extra power out of her. ive reaserched instaling teh TRD supercharger...wont fit. ive looked into installing a turbo...only one guy i can find who has done it and i havnt got the money for what he did. looked into doing work to the rest of the exaust...but without forced induction, it would not yeild much for teh work into it. plus people on other forums have told me not to bother because of emmisions. other then the suspension, all teh other upgrades have been real cheap almost free and ud be surprised, ive had a few people actually commend me on how it looks, especially for a camry. i realize its a camry...but i like it cuz well not many people do work to them and it would suck to get beat by a camry...hehehe.
yea white90dx is right...i don't know how much work but some rearranging...and there are quite a few ppl that have done turbo setups...
your car sounds good....sry if it seemed like i jumped on u, u just have like 6 posts so i was thinking speed chip+noob poster=ebay chip for $20...i guess that can be blamed on me jumping to conclusions...
let us know what happens...

Probs with '94-'96 1MZ's and the super charger (I've been considering it myslef):
1) EGR tube is different (custom fab EGR tube)
2) AC Idle-up is different (maybe use from a '97+ 1MZ)
3) Boost control box doesn't seem to understand ECU (is only hooked to shift solenoids, so a couple relays or a simple circuit should overcome this)
So... it can be done. It's not really that much custom work either. Much, much easier than a turbo.

You don't need to rebuild anything. The bottom end is pleanty strong. The only issue early 1mz's have is that they have a low quality head gasket. You just have to replace it with metal one and your set. Also keeping fuel flow. Getting a SAFC would be your best option. The problems most people run into is running lean while boosting.

i understand why ud jump the gun, i would too whocare04, ive tried to avoid things that say "15 to 20 hp for 6 bucks" thats rarly possible. i did however find the Venom 400, so thank you for that. do u know if its worth the money?
i have done quite alot of reaserch on the S/C. what i found was apparently the hood had trouble clearing the top of teh s/c. and ive been told my engne is not as strong as teh 97 up...but i dont see how that can be since it can last to 250k miles without a rebuild. basically the s/c is alot-a-moola that i dont have and the turbo would take time that i dont have either. i have to devide my money and my time between my college, a 72 El Camino SS and a Camry. prolly down the line id do s/c. but right now that Venom (if its all its cracked up to be) sounds pretty good.
a friend of mine got a Venom chip on his 00 Tiburon (CAI, heads, full cat-back w/o the cat) and we've both noticed a difference...i only rode in it a couple times before and after but i noticed a slight change...(u know not seconds off 1/4mi. but just quicker all around)
considering by the time u get the s/c, ur car will prolly have 275k+ miles on it i would think a rebuild or something would be a good idea because not only will just run better overall, but it would prolly take better to the boosting than the worn engine...just let us know if u do get that s/c (and show some pics )

well... forged internals = more horse power... AND... you can throw more crap at it over stock internals..
Not exactly...
Forged internals = Stronger internals.
What increase the amount of horse power is modifications you make to it. Higher compression pistons, increased displacement due to shorter piston rods, etc. Stuff like that is what increases the amount of power. Forged ones are just stronger. You can get forged parts that match OEM spec that won't ad anything but strength.
